Fever is the body's normal response to infection. How your child looks and behaves matters more than the number.

At home

Offer fluids often, dress them lightly and use paracetamol at the dose for their weight.

Your baby is under 3 months with any fever, or your child is unusually drowsy, breathing fast, has a rash that doesn't fade when pressed, or shows signs of dehydration.
